Professor Stanis\u0142aw Burdziej is a sociologist of law working at the Institute of Sociology of the Nicolaus Copernicus University. Bartosz Pilitowski, the founder of the Foundation, conducted graduate research at the same Institute and holds a degree from there. Zofia Branicka is a lawyer and a PhD candidate at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By analyzing academic works such as law review articles and dissertation theses and using them as a basis to conduct workshops for judges, the Foundation uses the scientific achievements of psychology and the sociology of law. The Foundation also contributes to these fields and the results of its research are published not only in our publicly available reports and in the press, but also in scientific journals, such as the Polish quarterly \u201cNational Council of the Judiciary,\u201d the quarterly \u201cIustita,\u201d \u201cStudia Socjologiczne,\u201d and recently also in \u201cLaw and Social Inquiry\u201d \u2013 a scientific journal of the American Bar Foundation. On the basis of the Foundation\u2019s research, several articles in collective works and a habilitation thesis devoted to the legitimization of the judiciary have also been written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation has conducted research and R&amp;D projects in cooperation with the University of Denver (Colorado, USA), the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru\u0144, the University of Gda\u0144sk and the University of Bia\u0142ystok. Since 2012 the Foundation is a co-organizer of a research camp at the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University. A similar courses were also conducted for students at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144 as well as at AGH University in Krakow.
