From September 2010 to November 2011, the Court Watch Poland Foundation carried out the project "Civic monitoring of district courts". The aim of the project was to launch civic monitoring in selected 30 district courts in Poland (observers managed to reach up to 44 courts). More than 1,000 people were trained in the project (half a thousand were assumed). They have been consulted with information about the judicial system in Poland, about the rights before the court and about the possibility of engaging in public control of the judiciary by participating in hearings as an audience. The project was completed with the publication of the report and presentation of the results at the conference. We are constantly passing on the findings of the observations to the courts and other institutions related to the judiciary and we are trying to ensure that as many people as possible get involved in the citizens' monitoring of the courts.<\/p>\n
