These are:

mature organisations, with staff, directed at the protection of a specific law or monitoring a particular institution, relatively stable (operating at central level, and those which address their activities to municipal or regional authorities); organisations already existing, but still relatively fresh in their activities of the guards at central and urban level;

informal groups and individuals; local organisations, independent of local authorities but with structures and local standing; (teachers and pupils).

For each group, the organisations implementing the project together have prepared an appropriate offer for them. Starting with an educational cycle for people from organisations that carry out watchdog activities and address their advocacy to central institutions, entitled "Engaging supporters – implementing changes in watchdog organisations at the central level". Participants in the educational cycle were able to learn how to build support for their organization's activities and use the already existing resources of supporters and implement changes in their organizations.

The Court Watch Poland Foundation was responsible for the "School of Improvement", a module designed for those already involved in watchdog activities, who want to develop their workshop together and share their experiences and knowledge with other guards. The cycle lasted from autumn 2014 to spring 2016 and consisted of several workshops taking place approximately every two months. Any interested person could apply to any selected workshops without having to participate in the whole cycle.

Detailed information about all modules of the project together with the framework schedule can be found on the website of the project leader – The Civic Network Watchdog Poland.

The project was implemented under the Citizens for Democracy programme, funded by the EEA

and the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.

Patronage:

The system project "GUARDING PROFESSIONALLY and permanently in the public interest" is a joint initiative of the Citizens' Network Watchdog Poland, the Center for Civil Education, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, the Homo Faber Association and the Court Watch Poland Foundation.
