We start the project pn. "Development of social competences of court watch Poland volunteers useful on the labour market". The project is funded by the European Union under the European Social Fund Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development for the period 2014-2020.<\/strong>
\nThe main objective of the project is to support 160 women and men by 29. In 2014, the studying law and administration in the acquisition and improvement of social skills important in the labour market.<\/p>\n

Support will take place on two levels:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. training and individual mentoring in which participants acquire knowledge in a manner tailored to their individual needs,<\/li>\n
  2. voluntary work, in which they will practice the acquired knowledge and skills, gain experience and change their attitude.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The project in this form complements the shortcomings in the education system in the faculties of law, which focuses on acquiring legal knowledge, the ability to interpret legal provisions, and neglects social and communication skills. As the project will recruit those from the target group whose social competences are less developed, the project will level out their chances of a difficult and highly competitive labour market in this group.<\/p>\n

    Project participants will take part in three volunteer paths proposed by the applicant:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. information desk: <\/strong>it is about helping and giving simple information to first-time court, finding it difficult to find it and not knowing what rules apply in the courtroom. Volunteering meets the needs of representatives of the local community. Volunteers provide information on the the duties of attending the hearing shall be carried out by the elderly or the lost persons to the courtroom and, if necessary, accompanied by the hearing. Persons who carried out a similar project in the framework of volunteering with the Applicant confirmed by means of a survey the strengthening of important social competences, in particular: interaction with other persons, communication of information, advising, addressing the listener, application of questioning techniques, teamwork, intercultural competence;<\/li>\n
    2. as Ambassador of the Court Watch Poland Founda<\/strong>tion: it consists in activating representatives of local communities to undertake guardianship within the judiciary( judiciary), which aims to develop appropriate forms of dialogue between courts and citizens. The Ambassador is responsible for the organization and conduct of training, organizing group exits to the courts. It interacts with both institutions (universities, scientific circles, libraries, courts) and individuals, thereby improving social competence: advising, teamwork, working speech, instructing and leading, motivating and supporting, communicating facts, addressing listeners, receiving criticism and interacting with others;<\/li>\n
    3. within the framework of the Legal Educa<\/strong>tion Programme: gives the beneficiary the opportunity to share the acquired legal knowledge with the younger generation (high school students) in a novel way – using the simulation of the dissertation and board game developed by the applicant. Volunteers interact with institutions that host PEP (schools and courts), organize and conduct educational activities with students. Action expects them to be able to present complex matter in a clear and understandable way for students. Such involvement enhances social competence in the areas of: advising others, teamwork, using body language, instructing others, applying the technique of asking questions, communicating information, addressing listeners, receiving criticism and interacting with others.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Each group of volunteers will receive appropriate training and care from the mentor and guardian of the volunteering programme.<\/p>\n

      It should be emphasised that such volunteering (assistance to court clients, participation in the monitoring of court hearings and legal education) corresponds to the important professional needs of the participants from a professional point of view.<\/p>\n

      The project will be implemented in line with the values of the European Solidarity Corps, such as respect for human dignity and human rights, including respect for diversity, by promoting a just and equal society with pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality, thereby strengthening social cohesion.<\/p>\n
